Structure
1st - 2nd Semester: Practical orientation is very important to us. Therefore, your International Management studies will start with an introduction week including an excursion as well as the analysis of an international company in teamwork. In the first part of your studies, you will learn about the basics of business administration and the basics of international management based on the latest scientific findings. These include e.g. Digital Transformation & Business Models, National and International Accounting, Cost Accounting and Cost Management. The lectures are partly taught in English. This allows you to consolidate your knowledge of English, which is important in an international context. In addition, you learn another foreign language (Chinese, French or Spanish) and thus increase your language skills. Furthermore, you will complete a basic internship of 8 weeks in the commercial sector.
3rd - 7th Semester: From the third semester, you will solidify your specialist knowledge in international management and you will acquire relevant leadership knowledge and leadership skills in the context of International Business Diplomacy and Crosscultural Management. In addition, you will improve the foreign language you have chosen. You choose one out of eight selectable specializations and you will work on current topics in small groups directly with the professors. In addition to further basics such as Marketing and Sales, Corporate Finance and International Strategic Management, you can acquire professional, social and sustainability skills in five elective courses such as Business Start-up and Coaching for Formation of a Company, Social Competence in Communication and Negotiation, Sustainability Management or Global Supply Chain Management . A theoretical semester is spent at a university abroad. THI offers you more than 140 cooperation partner universities. The theoretical semester is followed by the practical study semester which must be completed in a company abroad. With the final bachelor thesis you acquire the academic title Bachelor of Arts. This gives you the opportunity of a direct career entry or further specialization in the context of a master's programme.

Admission requirements for international students
Anyone with an international university degree/higher education qualification wanting to study at a university in Germany needs a so-called Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB), or higher education entrance qualification. This lets applicants show that their educational background or professional qualification allows them to study in Germany, i.e. they have the necessary higher education entrance qualification to register for a course.
The recognition of the qualification is linked to certain requirements. If the certificate of education is recognised as a higher education entrance qualification in Germany, the international student may apply for all courses (general qualification) or for certain courses (subject-specific qualification). Two to three semesters of study in the home country may be recognised as a higher education entrance qualification in Germany, depending on the country of origin.
