Our two excellent and closely networked universities deliver an integrated and well-supported learning experience. At the University of Bamberg, Political Science is taught as a social science with a strong empirical focus. The university is in a position to offer courses in all major subfields of Political Science, including a range of modules in English. Both our teaching and research are strongly driven by theory, and cutting-edge research methods are also a central focus. The university provides students with an excellent library and ICT facilities, and keeps a network of national and international partners, providing you with the necessary contacts and job opportunities for your future career. Moreover, we give you the opportunity of taking part in the National Model United Nations programme in New York, including practical diplomatic training. Listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, Bamberg is one of the most beautiful cities to live in Germany. With its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings, it is an architectural gem. Nevertheless, it is an affordable city. Aside from its relatively low living costs and a thriving student community, Bamberg offers an abundance of cultural events and recreational opportunities, including a lively music and club scene.

At the University of Macedonia, the MA in Politics and Economics of Contemporary Eastern and Southeastern Europe aims to offer a comprehensive analysis of both political and economic development in the region, emphasizing the interrelation between the two, and setting the institutional and social context on firm analytical grounds. In addition to that, you will be given substantial support through the Library and Information Service (L.I.S.), the Career Office, and the Computer and Network Operations Center. University sport, cultural and political activities are open for all students to join. Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece, with more than one million inhabitants, and more than 100,000 students. Due to its student population the city is very lively, with numerous cultural activities all year round, rendering it the cultural capital of Greece. The location of the city facilitates short visits to the neighboring countries of the Balkan region, with Sofia and Skopje a little more than an hour away by car, while Istanbul and Athens can be accessed in less than one hour by plane. Famous for its nightlife and quality of food served in its numerous bars and taverns, as well as for the abundance of Roman and Byzantine monuments scattered throughout the cityscape, Thessaloniki was included in National Geographic Traveler‘s ‘Best of the World 2013′ list of the 20 must-see places around the globe.
